Meet the Team

Peter Leung, DO
CEO, Founder, Co-Director
My journey in service began with the Peace Corps and has since taken me to various ministries supporting the underserved in Africa, Mexico, El Salvador, and other regions. These experiences have shaped my heart for mission-driven care, fueling my commitment to providing medical services to those in need. Beyond global outreach, I am dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians. At Kaiser Permanente San Bernardino County, I work closely with residents in hospital medicine, obstetrics, procedures, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), home visits, clinic-based care, and pediatrics.
I am a family physician with a deep passion for serving others and living out God’s calling through obedience and service. I love what I do and feel called to extend my time and skills to serve both locally and globally. Above all, I am a husband and father of three, and my family remains at the core of my inspiration to serve. Through my nonprofit, redefineD, I hope to continue bridging healthcare gaps, fostering compassionate service, and transforming lives—one patient, one story, one community at a time.

David Wong, DO
Co-Director
I am a family physician with a passion for building connections and serving others. Growing up in the diverse communities of Northeast Los Angeles—El Sereno and Highland Park—helped shape my ability to relate to people from all walks of life. I studied psychobiology at UCLA before earning my medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. I then returned to California to complete my family medicine residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where I later served as an assistant program director before transitioning my practice to Kaiser Permanente San Bernardino County.

Beyond medicine, I find it essential to set aside quiet time with God to reflect, learn, and grow from my experiences. I also cherish spending time with my family, whether watching my children thrive in dance and sports or enjoying meals and theater outings with my wife. Strengthening these relationships remains at the heart of who I am and what I do. Through redefineD, I hope to continue serving communities in need, fostering meaningful connections, and walking in faith to make a lasting impact.

Jonathan Greer, MD
Physician Volunteer
With a strong foundation in Family Medicine, geriatrics, palliative care, and lifestyle medicine, I bring both clinical expertise and a deep commitment to service to my role as a volunteer with redefineD. My journey began at Loma Linda University, where I trained in preventive medicine and public health, developing a deep appreciation for the power of prevention. I went on to complete my Family Medicine residency at San Bernardino County Hospital, where I later served as faculty for ten years. I currently serve as a geriatrician at Kaiser Permanente, focusing on home-based care while continuing to teach and mentor young physicians.
Over the years, my work has taken me into diverse settings—from emergency services and dementia units to HIV clinics—where I’ve learned that true healing begins with compassion and meaningful connection. These experiences have reinforced my belief that health and well-being are rooted in empowering individuals with knowledge, dignity, and support. Jesus modeled this beautifully, blessing and serving the poor, the sick, and the distressed. He taught us, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” At redefineD, I found a community of like-hearted individuals devoted to serving others with humility, compassion, and grace. I’m grateful to be part of this mission.

Student Medical Director
Noah Wong
I am an undergraduate student at the University of California, Riverside, pursuing a pre-medical track with a passion for serving others through healthcare. As the Student Director of redefineD, I have been privileged to work alongside a dedicated team to provide medical care to underserved communities.

My commitment to healthcare comes from a deep desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Through redefineD, I have had the opportunity to take part in meaningful outreach programs, advocate for equitable healthcare, and collaborate with professionals who share the same heart for service. I believe that access to quality healthcare should not be defined by circumstance, and I am committed to carrying this mission forward—both in my current role and as I pursue a future career in medicine.

Communications Director
Jasmine Greer
I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Davis, with a deep passion for service and uplifting my community. As the Communications Director of redefineD, I oversee our digital communications and outreach initiatives, using storytelling to highlight the realities of our patients and amplify our mission. With a lifelong love for art and design, this role allows me to creatively piece together the beautiful and unique narratives of the communities we serve. Our organization has also brought me a community of like-minded individuals who share a commitment to service and a deep belief in equitable healthcare for all. Beyond participating in the service we do, I have the privilege of bearing witness and capturing the relationships built, the procedures performed, and the quiet resilience found in the patients we care for. I’m also a current medical school applicant, hoping to carry these experiences forward as I continue learning how to serve with compassion, advocate with purpose, and listen deeply to the communities that have taught me so much.

Mission
We are a nonprofit medical organization dedicated to bringing essential care to underserved communities, both locally and globally. By partnering with those already doing this work, we seek to be redefineD through service—transforming both the lives of volunteers and the marginalized.
Together, we offer not only healing but hope, inspiring a renewed sense of purpose and a lasting impact on the lives we touch.
Vision
We envision communities across cultures and generations where people work together, becoming more compassionate, generous, and united by a shared purpose—to love one another as God has loved us.
Through partnerships and service, we hope to share values that create sustainable change, where individuals and communities are meaningfully transformed by the power of love and compassion.

Guided by the principle to love others as God loved us, redefineD creates opportunities for volunteers to build fortitude with humility, impacting communities in both small yet profound ways.

Our domain is named "e-redefineD" with the intent of our mission to transform lives both locally and globally. The "D" in redefineD stands for Dios who is the foundation and inspiration of this initiative.
The "e-" signifies eternal transformation of ourselves as we serve and of those individuals served. We believe that through small acts for others, we not only bring hope and healing to the underserved and marginalized but also refine and strengthen our own character.
