Motivativational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing on the streets focuses on engaging individuals in open, non-judgmental conversations to explore their motivations and readiness for change. It uses empathetic listening, reflective statements, and open-ended questions to build trust, helping people identify their own reasons for making positive changes in their lives.

Local Learning Opportunities

CA Street Medicine Collaborative

CA Street Medicine Collaborative is an acting body of street  medicine in California designed to build community and collectively solve challenges facing street  medicine in CA. We host monthly discussions of street medicine practice, policy, and payment. We ask  that you attend these meetings while you are on rotation with us

  • Frequency of Meetings: Meetings occur the first Wednesday of every month from 3pm-4pm over Zoom

Clinician Learning Circle

CLC is a subgroup of the CA Street Medicine Collab, hosted by USC Street  Medicine. We conduct monthly meetings where we discuss and hear from speakers across the state on  various clinical topics related to homelessness. We ask that you attend these meetings while you are on  rotation with us.
